Secondly, it refers to the timely interaction of fellow students and instructor regarding lessons and assignments - both providing for a more immersive and comprehensive learning experience.

A number of online photography courses boost big names to draw students. But if one reads student comments who’ve taken these courses, a degree of dissatisfaction is often voiced. “Renowned” and “Teaching Excellence” don’t always go hand-in-hand. TCI instructors are chosen not just for their professional accolades, but for their enthusiastic ability to teach, encourage, and instill confidence in their students.

TCI is very forgiving in this regard. Given a legitimate reason, we will either extend your enrollment period, or reschedule your course to a time better suited for your success.

In the 16 years TCI has been offering an exceptional online learning experience, this has never been an issue. Students find subjects and assignment material wherever they live - be it right in the home, neighbourhood, or further afield. We’ll even make suggestions, if needed !

Yes, questions posed online during the course will be personally answered by your instructor within 24 hours . And - being interactive courses, fellow students on your course have the opportunity to chime in, as well.

This of course will vary, but as a rule-of-thumb, you can expect to spend 2 - 3 hours per lesson and assignment. But keep in mind, the more you put into your course, the more you’ll benefit from it.

Expect critiques of each and every assignment photo you upload to be honestly and constructively evaluated by your instructor. That means its strong points, as well as things that didn’t work so well. In some cases you’ll even have the opportunity to retake and upload certain photos, with a new perspective in mind.
