The last rolls of legendary Kodachrome film have long disappeared from the shelves of camera shops.  In the same shops, sale bins of assorted film cameras and accessories await customer purchase at rock-bottom prices. The digital age of photography is now here to stay. In truth though, it's been around for a number of years and new camera models come on the scene with greater and greater regularly.  The draw - ever more features and higher and higher pixel counts. Yet despite the sometimes daunting array of  "bells and whistles" out there, photography is still photography.  The basics still apply - and in many ways, the digital world of photography has even more excitement and creativity to offer!

This 4-lesson / 4-practical-assignment online and interactive photography course is for both those new to digital photography, as well as anyone wanting a "refresher" on it all. We'll cover how a digital camera works and how to make it serve you in a visually expressive way. We'll then add the digital "layer" of just how today's cameras take photography to even greater heights - beyond darkrooms filled with chemistry, to the digital "darkroom" of today. By course's end, you'll be able to not only photograph in manual mode, you'll be working with those bells and whistles to have them "chime" just as you want them to, creating stunning photographs along the digital way.  Join instructor and professional photographer, David Bathgate, for this comprehensive and enjoyable introductory beginning.
