Sean Hobbs is a professional photojournalist and documentary photographer with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and post-graduate qualifications in Journalism. In 2007 he was commissioned as an Official War Artist (photographer) to the Australian War Memorial, a tradition dating back to the First World War. He travelled throughout Iraq and Afghanistan to document the current conflicts.
He has produced several bodies of work from Africa, Afghanistan and Australia. His work has been published and exhibited internationally including ‘Chobi Mela IV’ - International Festival of Photography and ‘Reportage’ – A cinematic celebration of photojournalism.
Sean is an experienced educator who has mentored students in a variety of learning institutions including secondary schools in Australia, and AINA Media and Cultural Centre in Kabul, Afghanistan. Sean is based in Sydney, Australia. To learn more about his work, please visit: www.seanhobbs.com
