The Instructor for this course, Ashwini Bhatia, lives in an extraordinary place. His home is Dharamsala (literally, Rest Place in Hindi), located in the majestic foothills of the Indian Himalaya. It is also the home-in-exile of His Holiness the fourteenth Dalai Lama and a thriving community of Tibetan Buddhists. And when Ashwini isn’t covering this world-renown spiritual leader for the Associated Press, he reaches for his macro lens and turns it to the equally awe-inspiring world of sub-tropical to alpine flower species that flourish in the region.
