Sports Photography: Beyond the Single Image$349.00

Sports photographers have historically taken a backseat to photojournalists when it comes to elevating their genre to the highest documentary levels.  The limiting orientation sports photography maintains has done much to build an army of "point-and-shoot" practioners and little to take sports photography beyond the oftentime, "cliche".  Long overdue are stories featuring the "whole" of sport and those involved with it.  If your passion for photography lies in action, competition and physical achievement, this hands-on, online photography course is designed expressly for you.  Through lessons, practice, tips and advice, you'll take your work to the next and higher levels still - learning to capture the story behind the sport and those who live it.

Lesson plan:
  • Attitude, ethics, ideas - developing a storytelling approach
  • Research and access - setting the story in motion
  • Building confidence and working with subjects
  • Long lens aside - focus on layers, light and composition
  • Mid-story appraisal - confronting doubt and pushing through
  • Selecting and sequencing
