Fine art photographers are challenged to present a subject in creatively different ways - to use composition, light, film grain (digital "noise") and lenses to make a personal photographic statement. And with digital technologies as they are today, avenues of creative expression for the fine art photographer at any level are practically endless. This is exactly what this course is about. Aimed to inspire and motivate through hands-on lessons and fun and challenging assignments, you'll discover your pictures transformed within-camera and through an artistic grasp of Photoshop software. Join in the exploration and hang your own unique mark on the fine art gallery wall.
What you will need:
- DSLR Camera or film camera (If shooting film, you will need access to a scanner in order to digitize your work for upload to the TCI website)
- Zoom lens, tripod and shutter release cable or self-timer control on your camera
- Photoshop CS2, CS3 or CS4 software on your computer and basic working knowledge, thereof
- A circular polarizer is optional
- Common household items that will be detailed in the assignments
